PSCDC is honored to announce that Pagosa Springs and Archuleta County were awarded 2022 Small Community of the Year in Economic Development from the Economic Development Council of Colorado (EDCC). The EDIE Awards Ceremony took place last Thursday evening, October 20 at the EDCC Annual Conference in Pueblo. Towns are nominated and recognized by economic developers at the state level for creating unique communities that encompass economic vitality, quality of life and resiliency.
The Town of Pagosa Springs and Archuleta County have demonstrated dedicated, collaborative support for economic development through their contributions and backing of critical community projects including Broadband Deployment, the Main Street Program. Workforce Development, and ongoing PSCDC efforts. The EDCC noted this award represents an "inspiring story of partnership that is essential to success in small, rural communities throughout Colorado."
