Full time employees and their qualified dependents are eligible to participate in the Archuleta County benefit program. Benefits begin the first day of the month following date of hire.

Accrued per pay period based on number of years of service:
1 to 5 Years: 6.67 hours per month (2 weeks per year.)
6 to 10 Years: 10 hours per month (3 weeks per year.)
10+ years: 13.33 hours per month (4 weeks per year.)
Accrued at 8 hours per month for full time employees.
Part time and seasonal employees accrue one (1) hour for every 30 hours worked.
Paid holidays each year which include: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Good Friday (4 hours), Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, County Heritage Day, Christmas Eve (4 hours), Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve (4 hours).
Eligible employees receive basic life and AD&D insurance of $50,000 for minimal cost.
