Consistent with Colorado State Law (Colorado Revised Statutes CRS 18-12-100,200) the Archuleta County Sheriff shall issue permits for county residents to carry concealed weapons. 

There are several steps in obtaining a CCW Permit. 

• Application: you need to fill out an application available at the front desk. There is a fee involved.
• Background check: you need to submit your fingerprints for a state and federal background check. There is a fee involved.
• Training: you need to fulfill the training requirement.
