The Administrative section of the department is hard at work with the overall management of personnel and fiscal resources. The section consists of the Sheriff, the Under sheriff, a professional staff Manager, the professional staff consisting of the front office clerk and the administrative assistant and the records technician.

The Professional Staff Manager is responsible for managing personnel records, workman's compensation issues, the budgeting process, fiscal oversight as well as training for the administrative staff. The position is also responsible for for State requirements for the Patrol division. As well as being the custodian of personnel records this person deals with legal motions seeking confidential file disclosures and all Sheriff's sales for the county.

The administrative Assistant position provides clerical support to the Sheriff and his staff as well as tracking all bills being paid by the Sheriff's department. This person also handles the money taken in by the Sheriff's department and keeps track of the time for the Patrol deputies.

The front office clerk is the "face" of the department with this person being the first face the public sees when entering the Sheriff's department, located at 449 San Juan St. This person is a very busy front position being the one to issue Vehicle Identification Number or VIN inspections, processes all civil paperwork, does fingerprints for all local persons needing prints taken and truck drivers needing to have hazmat fingerprints taken. This position also deals with any questions that the public might have.

The Records Technician handles the case files for the department which includes processing and paperwork that the deputies have, dealing with the public when they are requesting copies of the case files, and keeps up with all updates on the department computer systems.
