There are two types of Special Projects. The first type is projects which individual county departments are undertaking, that lie outside the scope of that department’s day-to-day operations. The second type is those projects which involve several different county departments working together. The County Special Projects Manager coordinates many of the latter type of project as well as serves as the public information officer and a grant writer for the county. The Special Projects Manager may also assist in department-specific projects, particularly in the case where the project involves multiple jurisdictions, organizations or stakeholders.
This web page is designed to list both department-specific and county-wide projects and grants. Each project carries a short description, major departments involved and project lead, as well as a link to more information if applicable.
