Archuleta County adopted a conceptual design for a 120 acre regional park at the north end of Cloman Drive near the airport.  Land for the park was secured under the Recreation and Public Purposes Act from the Bureau of Land Management.

Project Status:  Winston Associates has completed a report for the conceptual design and estimate of cost to build this park.  This report is the basis for acquiring the northern and eastern 40 acre parcels (80 acres total) from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) under the Recreation and Public Purposes (R&PP) Act.

The western 40 acre parcel has been acquired by direct sale from the BLM to the County.  The County contracted with Rhea Environmental Consulting to produce the Environmental Assessment on these parcels of property which were required by the BLM prior to their decision to sell.
