#2 PLASTIC:
Milk containers, laundry detergent bottles, and containers of that kind, etc.
Most plastic containers will be marked on the bottom with a code symbol. This symbol is a triangle with a number inside.
Items not acceptable for recycling:
Bleach Containers
Oil Containers (motor and cooking)
Margarine, Yogurt Containers
Windshield Washer Bottles
Bottles which "mouth" is larger than its base
It is not necessary to separate your plastic by number. If you are not certain as to the acceptability of a plastic, the item can be included in your deposit. There is an attendant at the recycle center that will check and if necessary, dispose of the items not acceptable.
